Rivoli Film

The 178 community were asked to be part of a film highlighting the importance of and active life for The British Society of Rheumatology.

Our lovely community of dancers spent a morning filming in the legendary Rivoli Ballroom in Brockley for the charitable society Rheumatology UK. It’s one of London’s most beautiful venues, a time piece of 1950’s grandeur glamorously appointed in red and gold. In the film we created a romantic encounter for our two stars in a dance class in a “bump” encounter on the dancefloor. The narrative highlights the value and importance of regaining an active life after treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. You can see some pics of day here in our gallery. Extraordinarily the director had attended Tango South London classes some years ago so it could be said that Tango in South London and specifically tangosouthlondon inspired the story!
